About Us

ATP Heating Services Ltd is a small family run business who service oil fired boilers and install oil tanks both domestic and commercial. Based in Chelmsford, Essex and built up of a team of hard-working engineers and office workers. The team is full of entertaining and enthusiastic characters.

ATP Heating Services Ltd was founded by Steve Machin in 2007, who previously owned Anglia Tanks and Pumps with which he used to work with oil and oil tanks and with this experience, he made ATP what it is today. He was also the owner of Action Fuels – another oil business which was located at the service station on Roxwell Road in Chelmsford. Steve was well known in the business all around Essex.

Since 2007, ATP have worked on an uncountable amount of boilers all around Essex, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and parts of Suffolk.

Steve, the founder of ATP very sadly passed away whilst he still had a lot of time ahead of him six years ago in 2012, and left the business to his two brothers, who very kindly allowed ATP to continue running just as Steve did. Julie, Steve’s sister in law of 28 years has been the manager for the past six years since he got too unwell to manage the business single handedly – she had worked alongside Steve since 2000. The office manager, Angela is a trusted long term family friend who has worked beside Steve since 2003.

As the years have gone on, Steve’s step-daughter Tania has joined the company as one of the only two lady oil fired boiler engineers in Essex, and we pride ourselves on this, as it has gone down so well with our customers and they are thrilled to bits to see a woman doing this job, which is stereotypically out of the ordinary.

ATP Heating Services specialise in the servicing and annual maintenance of all makes of oil fired boilers. The company is OFTEC registered (oil fired technical association), and all our engineers are trained to OFTEC’s very high standards.

ATP Heating Services also offer a full and comprehensive tank installation service. With installation engineers who again, are fully OFTEC trained.
